Nyung Nä
ÜbersichtKalender

Deutsche Version

Nyung Nä is an intensive two-day purification practice that includes fasting, taking the Eight Mahayana Precepts, prostrations, prayers, mantra recitation, and offerings. It is based on the practice of the Buddha of Compassion, Chenrezig, and is extremely powerful for healing illness, purifying negative karma, and opening the heart to compassion.

Venerable Losang Palmo will lead four Nyung Nä retreats, the last of which concludes on Saka Dawa, making it especially auspicious. The Nyung Näs can be attended individually or as a complete series.

To support a meaningful and harmonious experience, we recommend:

  • Having taken refuge in Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha

  • A good foundational understanding of the stages of the path to enlightenment

  • Some prior experience with Buddhist practice (suited for more experienced practitioners)

If this is your first Nyung Nä, or if you have any concerns about the physical aspects (such as fasting or prostrations), we kindly ask you to contact us in advance.

We are happy to connect you with Venerable Losang, who is available to answer your questions and support you in preparing for the retreat.

It is generally possible to join individual sessions online. For example, each morning begins with taking the Eight Mahayana Precepts (alternating at 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.—please see the schedule below).

To help preserve the retreat atmosphere—especially periods of silence—we kindly ask that any online participation is arranged with us beforehand.
