Many of you have already had the opportunity to meet him. He has a special talent for explaining complex Buddhist topics in a straightforward, warm and easily understandable way.

„Retreat“ literally means to retreat from one’s ordinary day to day concerns and view, and to give oneself the opportunity to focus on reality. Away from ordinary distractions we can train our mind in the path to enlightenment.
In this talk, Geshela will explain the importance of retreats. He will also answer questions about how we can organise an individual retreat.

Heart Sutra

The Heart Sutra is one of the most well-known Buddhist scriptures and reveals the truth of emptiness through a brief dialogue between two of the Buddha’s most prominent disciples: Avalokiteshvara and Shariputra. Traditional commentaries clarify the sutra’s cryptic style and explain the precise nature of the wisdom that realizes emptiness, as well as the complementary method practices. These two aspects of practice are related to the five levels on the path to enlightenment.
Its brevity and depth have made recitation of the Heart Sutra a popular practice, effectively removing obstacles to spiritual development.
We are delighted that Geshe Sherab will guide us through this precious text.
The seminar is open to all levels of experience.
We recommend attending both days, as the teaching covers a continuous topic. It is, however, also possible to participate on a single day.
Geshe-la will teach in English with German translation.
