„Retreat“ literally means to retreat from one’s ordinary day to day concerns and view, and to give oneself the opportunity to focus on reality. Away from ordinary distractions we can train our mind in the path to enlightenment.
In this talk, Geshela will explain the importance of retreats. He will also answer questions about how we can organise an individual retreat.
The talk is free of charge, donations welcome!

HYBRID
The text by the 10th-century Indian yogi Dharmarakshita deals with the relentless treatment of the enemies of our happiness: passions such as greed, hatred, pride and ignorance. It explains how they arise and what lies at their root, but also what antidotes we can take.
One of the biggest problems in our society seems to be a lack of compassion. Our self-cherishing attitudes lead to actions that not only result in inequality. They poison our minds and are thus a cause of disharmony, suffering and pain. These teachings challenge us to work on our self-centredness and are at the same time an effective means of creating inner peace and calm.
Geshela teaches in English.
